Lavacafe was launched in the summer of 2002 by Peter Mischke.

"Initially the site was my private page with convenient links for soccer sites along with financial links, music venue links and anything that was a positive pursuit. The name "Lavacafe" was chosen because it is an easy web address to spell and describes "unstoppable (lava) + knowledge (cafe)". Sit down in a good cafe with a cup of sumatra and pen in hand - the mind can flourish. Subsequently, I decided to share these links with my teammates and finally the rest of soccer community of Maryland".

How are Fever and Krash related to Lavacafe?
Lavacafe celebrates the hardwork and talent of the two Fever squads (Perring) and the Krash squad (Myers). How these teams grow can be seen worldwide. Since I play and work on these squads, Lavacafe exclusively focuses on the triumvirate.

Does Lavacafe currently make any money?
No.

Does Lavacafe take a lot of time to build?
No. I add a few scores each week and weeks turn to months and years. To see where you have been is an invaluable resource. "Invest lads, invest!"

What's up with the Manchester United interest?
From my youth, I grew up listening to a host of bands from the city of Manchester, UK - New Order/Joy Division, The Smiths, Happy Mondays, Oasis etc. This affection led to an interest in the Manchester United Football Club and its pursuit of longterm goals.

What future plans does Lavacafe have?
Always be ready for change. Anything can happen and I aim to successfully prepare those around me to capitalize on change.
